File Downloading Problem

Hi all.

Whenever I try to download a file I've received as an e-mail attachment, I appear to get through the whole process, up to the point at which I'm prompted to close the dialogue box when the download completes, and then nothing happens. The file just isn't there, or so I thought. Then one day, I was on the desktop and discovered a file that I thought I'd failed to download properly. However, upon trying to open it, I was told that there was a problem when it downloaded and that it hadn't been done properly. This has happened several times, and I can't figure out what the problem is. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

What email service do you use?

A couple, but Yahoo is where I'm having the problem.
